About meee by Mariam Papidze

We can say that Salome’s third choice of career – journalism – is her best choice. When Salome was a little girl, she was interested in playing the piano, partly influenced by her professional pianist aunt.

But when she was 15 years old, she dropped piano for painting, and enrolled at the Art Institute. During her studies at the Art Institute, she at first dreamt about being a successful painter. Then she realized that hasn't enough talent to become a professional painter. Thats why she lost interesting in painting.  Then she remembered the time, when she was witting articles in school newspaper and she guessed that she felt pleaser in this profession. “Journalism is the only job I’ll never leave,” says Salome.

She decided to learn journalism and especially Turkish journalism, because Salome is interested in the Near East at all.  So she has graduated from The Institute of Asia and Africa , the department of Turkish journalism. During this period, Salome has learnt about how is developed media in the near east and especially in Turkey , what kind of problems are there and what history has oriental journalism at all. Because of she needed to learn Turkish language, she went to Ankara for several months. So she had a possibility to introduce Turkish journalism closely. She had a practice there and is very pleased  with this program.

Nowadays she continues her studies at GIPA (The Institute of Public Affairs) and leads her quiet life with her family.
